    Wider wheels?

What have been people's experiences installing wider/lower-offset wheels, mostly to improve roll stability? How much can the hubs and suspension take? I felt a significant difference in my Toyota between stock track width and +2" per side, and people seem to wheel them hard with even bigger...

    Transmission and case sharing fluids

Need to put a stop to their hanky-panky before one of them catches something... I drained all my driveline oils last night, got ~1L out of the trans and more like 3L out of the case, including out of its fill plug after the drain had been open some time. EPC implies there's no seal on the rear...

Where does your temp gauge sit?

I overhauled the cooling system on my 91 L300, replaced what I thought was a stuck-open thermostat (it wasn't) with a Gates TH04277G1, 77C like the FSM states. The temperature gauge sits at or even a little below the low mark, with both thermostats. Is this normal, or is my gauge or sender off?

    WTB manual fuel tank

What looked like a repairable fuel tank turned into swiss cheese in the process. Anyone got an intact manual-transmission fuel tank for an L300?

WTB and questions re: manual-trans fuel senders

MB433330 is the fuel sender (not gauge sender) for a manual-transmission L300 with single tanks. Mine is rusted and I need this vehicle operational in 10 days, so most sources won't work. Anyone have a good used one, or a lead on a new one stateside? Or a recommendation for someone near Portland...

    Heater hose diameter?

I've yet to disconnect anything, because I'm waiting for parts before the cooling system can go back together and would rather not let it sit empty, but I'm confused about the size of the heater hoses. Took my calipers to a few different spots of the metal pipes in the heater circuit, got a...

    Brake line flare angle?

Embarking on a total rebuild of the brake lines, soft and hard, but I'll be using the same hydraulic cylinders so have to get the flare type right. Does anyone know whether our brake lines are flared to 45 degrees (SAE) or 37 (JIS)? I would assume the latter except that some later Mitsus (EVO 8...

    Steaming pile of...

...rust, is how I'd describe this particular specimen of a P25W-SNPT, a 1991 Delica Exceed L300 4wd manual turbodiesel SWB low-roof. I'm a semi-retired mechanic who did a job/favor for a friend: finding one, traveling out to it, reporting that it's an ill-maintained rustbucket and advising in no...
