92 starwagon won't start

Okay so I got a 92 delica star wagon and I get one click when I turn the key I have a push button glow plug and the starter I've had checked out it was good and the battery was good

I’d recheck the battery…the voltage can read as 12v but if a cell is dead it won’t have the amperage to crank. Any garage or battery store can check it. Just pull it out and carry it in.

Ok because the guy that I bought it from have a solar battery in the back for lighting and stuff but he had the terminals hooked up to the starting battery and I went in there to check it out and everything was loose and the little jumper wire one of the little jumper wires on my fusible link was was melted in half

Any suggestions on what size battery I should use in this because the one that's in it seems really small

Also since then I have disconnected the solar battery from the starting battery and repaired all the scary wiring that he did for the glow plug and the light on the front

Which fusible link is burnt?

OK, that shouldn't cause it not to start...

My battery is Group 65, Cranking Amps at 0C 1045, Cold Cranking Amps (-18C) 850, Reserve 150. (I am up in Canada and it gets COLD).

Okay I'm down in Arizona and it kind of gets cold but not like you're talking about and right now it's not cold

Also I took the battery up to AutoZone to have it checked and they said it was good but I didn't watch them do the tests. I guess I'll run back up there and try again.

Talk to a battery store regarding sizing. I believe the L300 has the same engine as the Mighty Max, which was sold in the states. They can look that up. If your battery is good, then I'm out of ideas. One click makes me think either battery or starter. Wait for a few hours or so and see if anyone else ways in here. @sk66 ?...

Okay so I got a new battery and it's doing the same thing it's just making the glow plug relays click and that's it

Wow major bonehead move! I found the positive battery cable going through the starter laying behind the battery! Haha how's that for an introduction?
