CA Registration Question - currently located in LA
94 L400 V6 (Gas) currently registered in WA
Been doing quite a bit of reading both here and in the US Facebook page but this is my first post. I haven’t seen anyone speak about registering a gasser in CA, so want to bounce this this group to make sure I’m lined up for success. Here is what I’ve gathered:
1) Avoid VIN verification through the DMV/CHP and go through a 3rd party VIN Verifier.
2) Receive Smog certification… I am not running diesel, therefor I am not exempt. Is there any reason I shouldn't pass assuming alls is well?
3) Assuming I pass smog, bring all paperwork to a DMV.
Any insight worth providing here? This feels oddly straight forward. I do have the EPA emissions sticker from Daly City if that means anything. Thanks in advance.
