Custom Seat Cover group buy?

Hello,

I am the new-ish owner of a 94 L300. My family owns A custom car seat company (linked below) and will see them this weekend. There is an emphasis on “custom”. They have thousands of different patterns, fit very snugly, and are made to order in California. I am going to have them take measurements of my van seats to make me seat covers.

Since they will have the pattern now they will be able to make seat covers for any van with the same seats as mine (idk if they changed throughout the years).

I know they have done large group buys on the Tacoma forums.

My car is going to be with them for the next month or so while I’m in South America: so the seat covers are definitely getting made for me. Just throwing it out there for other people since I’ve seen posts looking for seat covers.

If I remember correctly for just front 2 seats are about 300. Don’t quote me on that since I don’t work there (my dad runs it).

I’ll post a pic when I get them put on.
 
Alright, my dad wasn't keen on making a pattern just for me since it takes 15+ hours to just make a measure the first-round-pattern and no one asks for this cars seats.

If I can get a minimum of 10 commitments to order he would make the pattern for the front seats.
 
Do you have a ballpark figure before I throw my commitment/support behind this? Pretty sure if they are reasonable, 10 units should be pretty easy to achieve.

I would want a "price not to exceed" quote before committing; including shipping to PA.
 
Just the base cost with no additions for front driver and passenger seat will be 250+\- I think. Regarding the:

This all depends on your custom order. There are various extras that increase the price: heated seat option, lumbar support pump, various pockets piping, different and more elaborate patterns cost more, etc. If you get every possible addition for both driver and passenger seat it could potentially bring it up to 550+\-. Again, everyone makes their own custom order.

I’m not taking deposits as a form of commitment at the moment. Just gauging interest. If there is enough I will get everyone’s email and give them to my dad.

The website has a function to make seat covers and it shows you the cost, just pick a random similar car along with the colors and extras you want and it will give you a general price.

FYI, first driver and passenger seats would be made. If all of those orders go well then he said he would consider doing the same with the back two rows.

You’re from Hawaii, maybe you could vouch for the quality of these (these are all over Hawaii) if you have seen them. This could possibly raise more interest if someone who has been a part of this site for awhile endorses.

Well I would love to try them. I had wet okole covers on my Westy and they are the best. Let me know when we can order.
 
Which seat type is used to make the seat cover from? Once a seat cover is made, what is the likeliness that it will fit other seat types? Is the head restraint cover included?

Here are some Delica Star Wagon front seats, and they all are early 1990s. You can see that the stitching pattern is different between the seats, as is the head restraint.

Doesn’t look like it.. only 3-4 people in this thread seem ‘interested’ at best. I need 10 names/emails minimum to hand over to my father before he will commit to making the pattern.
