D4BF Boost and EGT issue

Early this morning on my drive is when I blew the relief valve. It was completely gone. The only reasons I noticed that are I lost all boost and it sounded like I had a hole in my exhaust. I’m trying to figure out how it unthreaded itself. I never heard it blow off or thought of it until it was gone.
So did you plug or replace the valve? If it's blowing too early, or sticking open it might explain some of what you're experiencing.

The valve blew out completely. It wasn’t even in the engine bay anymore when I went to plug it.
Crazy! I have mine capped currently, because it's in there so tight (they used some kind of thread sealant) I can't turn it, to remove it, lol.

Just an off the cuff question for your trouble shooting consideration: any possibility something fell/wedged down the hole where the valve was and might be contributing to your issues?

That very well could be. I’ve been trying to refrain from thinking that because of how big of a PITA it’ll be to get to, but it’s a possibility. I’ll have to take a look this weekend. I wish I had the valve to see what it looks. It blew off on the freeway and I have no idea where it went. I just lost all boost and it became very loud from right under my seat.

I believe valve model (at least for 4D56) is me201831, for you to take a look at it. The valve overboost release is supposed to happen around 12psi on that unit.

The red stuff on the threads is a thread sealant/thread locker, which is why I'm surprised yours unscrewed itself, but maybe it's different in a D4BF.
