DinoEvo has taken us on some amazing journeys across South America, the western US and Canada, as well as Alaska. However without any long trips planned in the near future, it may be time for DinoEvo to continue his journey with someone new. It’s difficult to accept but we’re contemplating selling and gauging interest in this incredible van.
About DinoEvo:
Year: 1994
Make: Mitsubishi Delica L300
Model: Star Wagon
Registration: Washington State
Series: High Roof
Odometer : ~346,000km (215,00 miles)
Engine: 5D56 2.5L Turbo Diesel
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Drivetrain: 4WD
Custom camperization:
Dino is a fully equipped and camperized van. The original owner, Felix, detailed his build to great extent here http://dinoevo.de We’ve been the proud owners for 3.5 years (since 277km). Everything is still accurate minus the bypass oil filter which was removed prior to us owning it. We also swapped out the vacuum pressed wood side windows as they had begun to warp and leak.
Recent work:
-Oil and fuel filter change (346km, July 2020)
-New water filters (345km, June 2020)
-Sleeping platform removed, repaired, and painted (344km, May 2020)
-New CV axle (335km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-New alternator (325km, Endurance Automotive)
-Replaced rear driver side windows (317km)
-New tires - Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (316km)
-New timing belt (316km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-New upper and lower ball joints (316km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-New front brake pads and calipers (316km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-New valve cover gasket (316km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-Drive belts (316km, Juracich Auto Repair)
-New deep cycle batteries, electrical work (~300km, CVI Automotive)
-New tie rod ends (~300km, CVI Automotive)
-Regular oil and fuel filter changes
This is a 26 year old vehicle with over 200k miles and therefore it’s not perfect. Here are a few known issues:
-It leaks a small amount of oil. It has since we’ve owned it and the owner before us. Zach at Jurasich Auto thinks he identified the leak as the return line which he tightened.
-One broken glow plug
-Diesel heater isn’t working. It needs to be removed and checked out. Possibly needs new glow plug and/or filter cleaning.
-No A/C
-Amp hour meter display not functioning
-Needs a new power window switch (we are working on replacing)
-Some body imperfections and rust
SOLD $17,500
Located in Seattle. More pictures available upon request.
We aren’t in a huge rush to sell the van but if you are seriously interested, please reach out. If we do additional work, this will be reflected in the price.
