I’m super thrilled for my new wheels, these gorgeous vintage SSR Forged Auswuch’s in 15”x8”. They are currently in Japan, and being loaded onto a pallet to be shipped here to Texas.
I love these wheels because they are period appropriate, manufactured in the early 90’s when the Star Wagon was in production, so these are the exact kind of wheels you would have seen on a Delica in the 90’s. Even better, this specific set has a -1 offset, which is perfect for fitment on this model.
To the naked eye they may just seem like some plain wheels, but to a car enthusiast who understands what’s going on, they will recognize that these Japanese forged wheels aren’t only the correct size and offset, they are from the correct country and were made in the correct era. Details matter!
I’m not going to have these shipped to Florida, but they will be mounted on the Delica later once some light reconditioning is done here locally to bring them back to 100%. For being 30+ years old, they look amazing!!
