Hi all, I’m about to buy a l300 and I just saw a l400 for about the same price, and now I don’t know what to do.
Details: One is a 1992 turbo diesel l300 with 310000km priced at $7500 and the other is a 1998 2.8l 4cyl turbo diesel l400 with 290000kms priced at $6500. They both have good condition exteriors.
Mechanically: The l300 is getting fully serviced before buying(included in the price) and the l400 I have not gotten inspected but he says it needs and new alternator and that’s it.
This is a difficult decision because the l400 is basically better than the l300 in every way performance wise, but I’m in love with the look of the l300’s. Also, I’d have peace of mind buying the l300 because of the mechanical overhaul, and for the l400 he says only the alternator needs replacement but who knows what else it needs. Seems super cheap for a l400 so it seems a bit fishy.
Thanks for the reply’s
