Rattling driver side window

Hi all-
Any time I lower my driver side window, it rattles like crazy. Even if just partially retracted, but especially when it is all the way inside the door. I'm probably being paranoid, but it sounds like the glass pane is going to break every time I close the door. Before I tear apart the door searching for the problem/solution, is this common? Is there an easy way to deal with it?

Thanks,
Brad

I have a similar problem Brad, haven't tried to fix my self yet. That said
talks about a similar fix in the second half of this video.. open it up and see whats loose?

The window tracks are adjustable and they can move/come loose over time... if your's is rattling that bad I suspect that is the issue. Mine also rattles because the door skin has debonded and it vibrates against the window... someday I'll get around to fixing that.

@bbaker22 curious if you were able to get in and see what the cause (and solution) was for you? Do you think replacing the inner or outer weather stripping would help to reduce the window rattle?

Nope, not yet. I got the tools, but have been too busy with a kitchen renovation to spend any time on the van.

Bumping the thread. I went in to sort out the same issue. My power windows are so loose I can't roll them all the way up on the highway because the internal pressure so easily forces them out of their nesting path on the way into the window channel.
I opened up the door panels and could not see a single piece that looked remotely adjustable, and my only thought was to put a shim in the lower holster for the glass itself to tighten things up.
The window is barely supported, it's no surprise this is a common issue. Yet I've found no solution on any forum yet. Anyone solved it?

On mine it was the window sash - we had a really bad rattle with almost zero support. The sash had no rubber guide anymore. Once that was replaced all was good.

Interesting! I don't even remember seeing a piece like that on the front of the window, just the rear. There's no chance the configuration of the window guides changed from 1989 to the later models is there ? (mine is an '89)
I'm assuming the sash comes as one piece based on the amayama diagram?

Found the sash on Amayama! Looks like it's on every year, I just somehow missed it. Figured I'd answer the confusion I created in case anyone follows this thread later.
