Shipping from Canada to the US in the Covid era

Has anyone dealt with shipping a van from Canada to the US lately? How did that go? There’s a perfect Delica I’m looking at in Richmond BC, but I’m in Atlanta GA so I’d have to ship it and I’m worried about it crossing the border. The dealer in Canada said he can get it to me, but I’m still hesitant.
Thanks!

That’s not bad considering the distance. I am currently waiting to catch a transporter from Blaine wa down to Southwest US. So getting over the border isn’t the issue, just US side is busy

Westminster, BC to Missoula, MT ran me 2,385 usd complete through a freight reseller. Shipping was abt 1600 of that. Additional 250 was for a few parts included in the van (itemizing is apparently expensive at customs) Brokerage rates are pretty flat but shop the freight around.

I think the brokerage rates are very fair/normal but the shipping seems high to me right now, that's not a very long haul. In comparison, that's abt what I'd pay to bring one from Japan. Wish I could've drove it from CA home myself of course.

Important- US carrier liability limits are basically nickels on the pound. It doesn't sound like damage is as common in dedicated vehicle shipping as it is in LTL but you'll want additional insurance or, better yet, get the van on your insurance policy prior to shipping. This way, should something go wrong, your insurer will pay you out and subrogate against the carrier or brokerage.
