Sourcing AC Parts (condenser, fan, dryer)

I recently brought my van in to get the AC recharged and the shop told me that there are some parts that need to be replaced but couldn't find anyone that carried them. My van is a L300 1989 Chamonix. The parts I am looking for are the condenser (one under the passenger front), fan and dryer. Would love if anyone has tips on where to find these parts!

My notes have these for the dryer (but have not replaced this, so can't personally confirm):

AC Filter Drier
Murray Part # 80-7987 (O'Reilly's) supposed to be a perfect fit.

Napa - 208628 (thinner diameter)

Just a word of warning for those reading this thread that have a late model L300 like my 1994, mine had a different drier (MB878624). Verify yours through megazip or amayama before you buy. I haven’t found a comparable part in the US and had to order the OEM part. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Absolutely correct!

it would seem there are three part #'s.
I have an 89' and went with the Murray 80-7987.
It fit no problem.

Do you have a pic and measurement of the one you have for the 93'?

I think Murray part #80-7987 might work as a replacement for MB869685. I have a 1992 L300 and they look a match to it.

I don't know where you are going to find an oem condensor. You might have to source a used one.

Or fit a universal condenser of appropriate size... likely to require some custom brackets and different hoses, but there's nothing particularly special about it, and I think there is plenty of room in that area to fit something a bit different than stock..

Going with something universal, you may be able to size up and get better cooling. I hear the vans do and don’t do so well depending on how much desert you live in.

I personnaly only had working ac for about a month and it was november. So i can’t comment on it.

Hey, I pulled that A/C condenser and fan on my 1989 Exceed P25W. I was surprised it had the dual condenser, but I have my measurements now and I need something more efficient to use it as a heat exhanger. I have both, but if you need any other parts, I gave nearly every piece of my A/C system to Why Pay More Auto because they service a few Delicas. My A/C wasn't functional but I think that was a lack of refrigerant. You're welcome to try these out.

I'd love to grab the condenser from you if I can! I have been able to source all the other parts except that one. Do you still have it or will I have to contact Why Pay More Auto?
