What year is my Delica?

This is a dumb question, but how do I know what year my van is considered? I looked up the VIN and it says it was made September 3, 1992 so I assume it’s a 92, but I know some car companies will call a car a 93 when it’s made/sold that late in the year. Just trying to be clear so I know what to register/insure it as.

I suspect the insurance company and the state wont care what sort of marketing spin Mitsubishi put on the van in 92, calling it a 93 to get people into the showroom. To them, it's a 92.
