Which Delica models have front and rear locking differentials?

No L300s came with locking front or rear diffs from the factory. The best you could get was LSD rear diff (standard on Chamonix, Jasper, and (I think) Super Exceed, and an option on all other trim levels).

A friend has a US market montero which has e-lockers, seems like these could be retro’d or axel swap to gain the feature. Is there a better aftermarket e-locker alternative? Im not considering ARB air lockers due to their expense.

Eaton also do a locker for the Mitsubishi L300 8" rear diff. Application guide/catalog here.

The only front locker for the standard 7.25" front diff is (was?) by Lokka (part number MIT-FO-100, only for 1987-1994 L300s with 25-spline axles, and possibly out of production now). Install thread here.
Some 1989-1991 LWB Montero V6's had an 8" low pinion front diff which can be swapped into the L300, and then you have more options. Allegedly.

Once you start swapping axles anything is possible.

The rear Montero air locker for a 93-96 will fit on an L400 - provided it is one that has the larger pumpkin. There are two different sizes of diff on the L400.

Its my understanding (could be wrong) that there were 2 rear diff sizes.. one smaller version for the early L300's and a larger one for the later ones? Mine is an 87 and I have been steered to rear locking diff's such as this one:
https://www.ebay.com/p/ARB-4x4-Accessories-RD210-Air-Locker-Differential/1362453764?iid=222520427358

I have yet to call ARB to verify if this is the correct version. I have a couple projects I need to wrap up before I start a new one. Any 1st hand info (confirm/ deny) would be appreciated.

The rear diff is the same size (8") for all L300's. The front diff changed in style (4-pinion diff with fewer splines on the driveshafts) in 1994, but the ring gear and pinion remained the same 7.25". Monteros had various sized front and rear diffs, perhaps that's what you're thinking of?

Good day all. Looking into the Harrop/Eton rear locking diff. It seems there is one for the L300 1994. Any body put one in, or had one put in. info please.
Thanks
J

Seems the only locking diff I can find so far is a ARB from Delica USA from Dennise for 1,500$. Anybody have any working with their unit from Australia

I've seen them around online, but they're usually in the 1k+ range. The Delica is never going to be a great offroading platform, for the cost of getting a locking diff put in, you're in Montero 2nd gen pricing that includes locking front/rear/center diffs.

It depends on what you're doing, but I rebuilt the LSD in mine to the tightest tolerance allowed and it's pretty good if you take it carefully.

Of course, I also installed a Lokka front locker to my van, so that helps a little too...

Yeah, I guess with 4wd + LSD I haven't gotten stuck thus far. But I also know that no matter what I do to increase my offroady-ness (lockers/lift/bigger tires), I'll barely be as capable as a stock Land Cruiser with lockers.

Because of that, it's a matter of priorities for me. Personally, spending that kind of money on lockers doesn't meet my cost/benefit threshold. If I was having that much trouble off-road that I needed a locker I'd look at other platforms.
