Hey All,
Making my first post because I need to pick up some fresh glow plugs for the Deli and wanted opinions on which to go for and if this is the best place to buy them.

Eiko Glow Plugs ($100)

Bosch Glow Plugs ($50)

The bosch are half the price and I've heard a few people running them but is there any significant drawback to using them compared to NGK or Eiko?
Just need a reliable set that can help with some of the colder winter startups.
Thanks!

Why not buy the correct OEM ones for about the same price as Bosch?

The price is each, shipping is not (unless you only buy one). I would buy from UAE... a lot of times when they don't have a quantity for Japanese warehouses there isn't actually any available and they wind up cancelling your order. I would also probably get a couple sets now although they should last a very long time.

I didn't originally follow your links... OEM is more expensive.

I've been running the 11V Hyundai ones that I got from Rising Sun (@stevenlee) and they made a noticeable difference over the knockoff HKT ones I had put in originally. I'd give those a try or the OEM ones that sk66 linked.

No NGK cheap copy
A lot of Hyundai glow plugs are made by NGK; so I'm not sure what you are implying there.
Certain sources are prone to having counterfeits or terrible/misleading wording marketing... so there is that issue. And I have no idea if the ones you are selling are made by NGK or not.

I don’t think I could ever spend 55$ on a single glow plug. That seems like quite a price.

I just got a set from Coombs country autos, which are supposed to be be identical to Oem. They are NGK 90066.

Hyundai 11V glow plugs have 'built-in resistor' (variable resistance versus engine temperature) to prevent overheating. Those are not made by NGK in fact legally and technically.

As far as I know, all NGK glow plugs that are identical to Mitsubishi OEM cannot be sold under the NGK name based on business legal contract between Mitsubishi and NGK.
So any cheaper NGK GPs are just similar ones or copies.(one piece of Mitsubishi OEM glow plug costs close cad$100 from shelf depending on currency fluctuation.)

So who is the manufacturer of these so many different NGK plugs for 4D56 and 4M40 diesels? I know for the L400 ( 4M40 )- the factory Mitsubishi glow plugs are made by NGK exclusively for Mitsubishi. I would think the same would be true for the other glow plugs sold by Mitsubishi, made by one of the major companies for Mitsubishi. The Japanese auto makers are famous for reverse engineering, finding the best product and using it for their application rather than trying to reinvent something and build it themselves. This is true of the 6.2V glow plugs,
which would stand to reason. Any idea who makes them?

I have a set of factory Hyundai 11v self regulating glow plugs for the 2.5TD and they are clearly marked with the NGK part number. The glow plugs do not have the Hyundai part number stamped into them; and the boxes have both part numbers on them. They were purchased from Hyundai Korea; the NGK packaged glow plug can be purchased elsewhere.

I do not know who made the MD092392 plugs. It wouldn't really surprise me if they were made by NGK under proprietary license.

But I do think there may be counterfeits on the market... I'm pretty sure I have a set of counterfeit "NGK" 6v plugs I purchased on Amazon.
