    Easy DIY Curtains and Sliders

Mine doesn't have end caps. I think I unscrewed the screw shown in this picture (in the track), and maybe the next screw along to the left (out of frame) so I could pull the track out enough to insert the sliders.

    Easy DIY Curtains and Sliders

Hi. I definitely inserted my sliders in the open end of the track (not prying out the lip). Since the tracks are set into the plastic trim the ends are not really open. I think I removed or loosened the screw nearest the end of each track (screw holding track to vehicle), and gently pulled the...

    Easy DIY Curtains and Sliders

The weld nuts slide easily in the tracks. Not tight, but are large enough that they won't fall out. You would want to tighten each screw enough to keep it from vibrating out, when you are on the road. Otherwise I predict you will have screws falling on the floor, getting lost etc. I'm only...

    Easy DIY Curtains and Sliders

I had another idea. Same machine screws used as buttons on the slider rails. But instead of buttonholes, sew on short lengths of shoelace, as shown below [photo 1]. You would sew about where I drew the red line. The loop on top serves as the buttonhole when hanging the curtain. Now if you want...

    Easy DIY Curtains and Sliders

We made some curtains for privacy when camping. [photo 1 below] My wife sewed them, and we used a simple buttonhole system to hang them. With this approach the curtains fold up very compactly (for storage) as there are no clips. And I can put up all four curtains in under two minutes. We have...

    Vibration from 70kph to 100kph

I'm pretty un-educated on this, but on a recent highway trip in our older Honda Odyssey I started getting significant vibration at 60mph or above. I first had tires checked to see if out of balance (nope), but it turned out to be a deteriorating CV joint. Problem solved by replacing that CV...

    After market electronics

Pic one is the internal temperature sensor. Hold your palm on it and you'll see the temp rise on your cabin temperature display. Kind of a vulnerable position. I knocked mine loose somehow, but it was easily repaired with a couple of dots of hot glue.

    Question on Regions and Colorado

I'm busy at home for the next week but might be ready to meet up after that. I'd be happy to include camping. I think camping areas are opening up.

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

I made a DIY cupholder yesterday. On the third photo you can see there's just a wooden block that fits into the hole in front of the armrest. Friction fit. The little grey bumper on the underside is to keep it level... the plastic under that corner is lower (near the latch for the armrest).

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

I fixed a wobbly captain's chair following instructions found on the UK Mitsubishi Delica Owners Club site. I added photos and created a separate post here: https://delicaforum.com/index.php?threads/wobbly-captains-chair-fix.2180/

    Wet front carpets, footwell leaks

I think you can drill out almost any screw if you can get access to it. Good luck. Mark

    Question on Regions and Colorado

I'm in Fort Collins and potentially interested in future meetups, but not likely to trek down to Denver for a coffee shop meetup especially under current CV19 regime. My interest is more in group drive and/or camping. Maybe late Spring if public health conditions improve. Cheers!

    Driving at High Elevation

I've had my 4G64 ('91 Exceed, gas engine, automatic transmission) for a year now. It's my daily driver in Fort Collins, at 5,000 ft elevation. My experience driving at higher elevations is many trips up the Poudre canyon (where I ski in winter and camp/bike in summer), which tops out over 10,000...

    Wet front carpets, footwell leaks

When I removed my headlight units before re-caulking my leaky cheeks (see above), a strip of rubber fell off of each headlight. See left side of "B." These had been stuck down to the top front edge of each headlight. I think the white material (ok, it was once white, now dirty grey) was an...

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

I caulked my leaky cheeks this week. I posted a reply over here: http://delicaforum.com/index.php?threads/wet-front-carpets-footwell-leaks.713/ ...with some notes about the tools and tactics I used to extract screws to remove the body panels.
