Gauging interest.

I'm Looking at the Airplex Monsoons from New Zealand, but shipping is outrageous. If I can share/split shipping with some other I can get 3 sets for about $265/set (USD). But I'm in Southern California, Orange County. So I could re-ship once they landed or you could get them from me here.
If there is any interest please message me or reply, I only need 2 others to make this somewhat affordable.
I could reship from California, but assume domestic UPS to be an additional $30-$40/set.
Looking at their part numbers:
8836LH
8836RH

I don't know how long it would take yet. I'll update the post when they respond to that question.

Did you end up doing this? Curious about how it fit/looks installed (I have an L300). Also in California (Bay Area) if you haven’t yet ordered!

No, still waiting for a couple of interested buyers. If you're on board I might sit on the 3rd set for hopefully another buyer down the road.

Yes, I would like you to count me in, let me know how you’d like to do that (feel free to PM here).

I’ve searched around the forum trying to see how folks found the fit of these to be. I do see your van is like mine (just a little newer). I really like the larger aspect of these and the relatively clear look (with just a light tint). I‘ve been kind of worrying about how I’ll go camping in the rain in winter, as it’s so nice to have a window cracked, but I realized almost just the other day that the way these vans are, there’s really no window at all possible to leave open without letting rain in. And the last thing I want is water in the van, that’s why I‘ve been sealing all the bad seams!!

Do you happen to know how well the window will seat once the little clips are installed? I’m guessing it’ll be good enough, and the clips look like a nice way to do this, compared to either stick-on installations or actually drilling into the van (more water!) So if you think that it’s a good solution, which I assume you do otherwise you’d not be considering this order, then I‘m definitely up for it. These look way more useful than the thin highly-tinted ones I see for sale elsewhere, that’s for sure!

I bought my van with something like this on it. They seemed to be original but one was cracked and they had yellowed but I thought they worked amazing. My original clips tucked under and around the weather stripping. Meaning you had to pop the weather-stripping down to remove them. We don't see a lot of rain here but I'm fairly confident these would work well with mild rain.
Others I was looking at used double sided tape and I just don't trust that. Also a good amount smaller like you mentioned.

I'll message you more about this.

I'm kinda curious about these too... Just bought a 93 Super Exceed
Congratulations. Mine is also 93. Mentioned above just now mine came with something like this on them and looking to replace them with something that mechanically attaches, vs a lot of the others I've seen are just taped on.

I've got commitments for the 3 sets I need, if you are serious you would be #4. Let me know ASAP as I will be ordering only the 3 sets committed to others in the next couple of days unless I here from you.

critical question for those who have these: do they stop the wind from buffeting you right in the ear when you are driving with the window down??

I cannot answer 100% because I haven't had these yet. But my old ones did. Also I'm 6'2" so my head it close to the roof (high top)

Mine has clear ones that look pretty flimsy, but are attached the same as these. One is missing a chunk, one has a crack...

These have been ordered today. I ordered 4 sets and 3 are "reserved" for myself, Delikit and 1988 DelicaMB.
I will have one set available and will post with fitment as soon as they come in.

I haven't kept up with the thread. If any are still available and you want to move them, I'm still interested.

OK, It looks like I maty have them late next week. I will have 1 extra set available when they do. I'll post some pictures when they arrive and how they fit.

Dang, I missed this.. both mine are cracked and would love to have replaced them despite the fact that Austin has seen 3.5 sweet hot minutes of rain in the last 2+ years. If anybody ever wants to do another order.. hit those DMs.

Will read this whole thread in the morning,

But I just got my 95 Exceed L300, fiddled with and broke the brittle rain-guard, I would love a new set.

I have the driver side mirror that sticks about 2 feet in front of the vehicle (personally I think it’s bad ass but don’t know what it’s called), I’m not sure if that plays into which rainguards will fit my vehicle.
