Another Monsoon Post (Rain Guards) - Group Buy?

Awesome, these arrived today. Hopefully I'll have time tonight or tomorrow to fit mine and post pictures.

I will have 3 sets for sale and potentially 7 of you interested.
Cost will be $242 + shipping to you, or pick up from me in Orange County, CA.
Please message me with your address and I'll get you a total with shipping.
First dibs in order of posting or messaging me go to:

Took me a minute to get is aligned, but pretty simple. Handful of tiny screws and nuts. There is one flat clip included and it doesn't say where it goes. I assumed it went on the bottom most position, it only makes sense there. I had to bend mine slightly towards the outside of the van, so it wouldn't hit the glass. I'll likely go back and hit all the screws with a drop of lock-tite when I'm sure they are positioned well. I'm afraid the diesel will shake them loose over time.

There is a form near the top angle to clear the alignment(?) tab. I basically centered it around the and where it meets the bottom forward corner.

I was giving preference to those that contacted me first, but I have almost $1000 invested in this I'd like to recoup.
I'll give them the weekend to respond, otherwise they will go to the first to pay.

Again, I'm not making a dollar on this. The single pair shipping was only a little less than shipping 4pair, so we're only splitting the shipping among us, otherwise a single pair was going to cost me

For those of you that asked in PM, I'll get shipping rate to you probably on Monday. I can also start shipping Monday.

I'll also post some better daylight pictures tomorrow (Saturday 9/8/23)

Maybe it’s me but the only issue I have is the clip on the bottom. I bent the passenger side because it hit the window. The driver side was fine, but so close I decided to bend it as well. No big deal, just a slight adjustment. From this factory bend:

I was centering it around this tab, but then I realized you can pop this out and move it. So then I just lined them up where they look best.

Was also hard to get to this screw, but spinning the mirror forward helped quite a bit

They look significantly larger than my current stock ones, which also had the tab on the driver side at least.

I’m curious does the company who makes them make them in a smaller width?

AFAIN, these are the only size from Airplex.

Also, I didn't mention previously I guess these are specific to 87 and later models L300

I'm working down the list above, and waiting for payment. Please check you PM's from me, if you are next on the list I will message you.

Thanks everyone. They are all sold at this point.

This cost me just under $1000 to import 4pair. If someone else want to finance it it seems like there were another 4 people interested at least.
Message me and all send you all the info.

After all was said in done it averaged about $285 to each of us after including domestic shipping to end user.

I'm really happy with mine. The quality and fit is great and almost 1:1 replacement of the broken ones my van came with.
Also like the mechanical attachment. Smaller ones I saw just double side taped on.

I had 1 person back out, of 4 others interested.
Including yourself you should have 3 interested now. Look a few posts back for my list. I think I also had a DM from someone that didn't post in the thread.

Will read this whole thread in the morning,

But I just got my 95 Exceed L300, fiddled with and broke the brittle rain-guard, I would love a new set.

I have the driver side mirror that sticks about 2 feet in front of the vehicle (personally I think it’s bad ass but don’t know what it’s called), I’m not sure if that plays into which rainguards will fit my vehicle.

I think the mirror set-up isn't an issue. Did you want a set? I am thinking of ordering some since I missed the first group buy.

Dang, I missed this.. both mine are cracked and would love to have replaced them despite the fact that Austin has seen 3.5 sweet hot minutes of rain in the last 2+ years. If anybody ever wants to do another order.. hit those DMs.
I'm thinking about doing an order... you in?

Yes, I would like you to count me in, let me know how you’d like to do that (feel free to PM here).

I’ve searched around the forum trying to see how folks found the fit of these to be. I do see your van is like mine (just a little newer). I really like the larger aspect of these and the relatively clear look (with just a light tint). I‘ve been kind of worrying about how I’ll go camping in the rain in winter, as it’s so nice to have a window cracked, but I realized almost just the other day that the way these vans are, there’s really no window at all possible to leave open without letting rain in. And the last thing I want is water in the van, that’s why I‘ve been sealing all the bad seams!!

Do you happen to know how well the window will seat once the little clips are installed? I’m guessing it’ll be good enough, and the clips look like a nice way to do this, compared to either stick-on installations or actually drilling into the van (more water!) So if you think that it’s a good solution, which I assume you do otherwise you’d not be considering this order, then I‘m definitely up for it. These look way more useful than the thin highly-tinted ones I see for sale elsewhere, that’s for sure!
Did you get in on the first order? If not, I'm thinking about doing a second order... you in?

I did receive mine already in the first order, thanks for checking! By the way @SPIWRX did a fantastic job with shipping on his end, mine arrived in perfect shape, well-protected in a very large box. They look larger than the Delica’s windows until you hold them up next to the van itself!
