Ground Zero

I recognize your name from the BaT auction comments for my Delica. I expect I'll be scrambling for footing on 2 slopes. One is the the obvious infatuation with this sweet ride. The other will be keeping my wife from staking claim to it. I kinda look forward to both!
I'm in the middle of South Carolina.

Haha! Where in SC?

Hi there!

I joined because I am super interested in owning a Delica. If any of you live in LA it would amazing if I could meet and see/feel Delica in real life, I am happy to pay for your time and hassle ;]

Thank you, for this forum. I just posted on the new member introduction. I have a 1994 Delica JB500 camper. My question is where do I post questions about this Delica on this forum. I read that the 1994 are 4th generation so these are L400.

Welcome! I am down in San Diego, and there are more SoCal Delicas here!

As for questions, depending on what they are, they would likely go here. https://delicaforum.com/index.php?forums/l300-general-posts.4/

Since your 1994 Delica JB500 is NOT an L400, but is based on an L300 based truck.

So, you are a Delica L300 Truck with a camper body. Make sense?

The L400 looks like this...

Post a pic of your camper! Would love to see it!

hi! im looking into buying a '93 delica registered in Washington- i live in california. Seems like it depends who you get at the DMV from this thread, as to whether or not they pass it. However; I'm curious if my luck is any better if it is already registered in washington state.
This registration ordeal is the pending issue of whether or not i purchase it!

Well better that it is registered in some other state before bringing it to California. Getting the car VIN verified prior to bringing it to DMV, and having all your paperwork in order prior to going to DMV is good insurance. -IMO

Hi All! New to the site and posted in the new members section. I just sent my deposit to Amazing Auto Imports in Canada for a 1994/1995 L400 LWB. Is there anyone on the site who lives in Maryland and has registered a Delica in Maryland? After reading about all the headaches the California folks have with emissions I'm wondering if I will have the same issue because my Delica will be imported, not registered in one state and relocated to Maryland, so I don't know if it will fall under the 25 year exemption rule.

Hey Y'all,
After years of coveting my neighbor's starwagon I am getting in the game. Just purchased a '93 L300 crystal lite 4g64 from a local importer here in NorCal (but en route to a move to OR). Wayyy too many miles on the old gasser but it's clean of rust, runs like a top, and you know, we just fell in love. Also I have eyes on a rebuild or swap someday so I'm happy to have the project when it comes time for it...

Been deep lurking on the forum for a few weeks now, plotting my first moves as I await delivery. Such great information from the folks on here and already setting up some parts orders with the talented fabricators kicking around the forum.

Happy to be here and can wait to get this little guy in my garage!

Cheers,
Tony

Kellyn,

Question, are you able to identify the particular model of this Delica? The amount of models out there is overwhelming and I want to have the proper information. Let me know! I know it's a 1992 Delica P03W, but not sure if there's anything else to pinpoint it. It's the 2 wheel drive 2L NA.

Assuming since you have been on here for a bit since this post, you may have found this by now. if not, this is a super helpful thread:

Thread 'L300 chassis number decoder'
https://delicaforum.com/index.php?threads/l300-chassis-number-decoder.1224/

Also a ton of other information in the FAQ section to get you started down whatever rabbit hole you seek.
