L300 Delica Starwagon -Wheel Width/Offset Specs Thread

  • Wheel: OZ Rally Racing
  • Wheel Size: 7 x 15
  • Offset: -15
  • Tire: Falken Wildpeak AT3
  • Tire Size: 235/75 R 15
  • Running spacers (y/n): n
  • Lifted (y/n): n
  • Notes: Very slight rubbing on the front mud flap. Barely touches. Going to use a heat gun to push it back away from the tire. I had 30x9.5x15 tires installed but it rubbed too much on the front wheel well (both front and rear). Going to install a 2" lift and revisit 30x9.5x15s.

Does anyone else here have a dually? I've got a 94 L300 pickup and its got 2 pairs of rear tires that are slightly smaller then the front. Any advice? Thinking about possibly getting a different rear axel but kind of like having it dually.

  • Notes: These super desirable forged wheels were made between 1985 and 1995 in Japan. They came in a variety of center face colors including polished as shown, red, black and blue. These wheels are notable because of their size and offset, virtually perfect for a L300. They are also period correct as well as genuine JDM. Stunning.

  • Wheel: SSR Auswuch 3P Forged
  • Wheel Size: 15x8"
  • Offset: -1
  • Tire: BFG KO2 All Terrain
  • Tire Size: 235/75/15, a bit over 29" or factory sizing
  • Running spacers (y/n): No
  • Lifted (y/n): No
  • Notes: If you’re after perfection, this is it. The size of these wheels along with the offset make for absolutely perfect fitment. No rubbing, no cutting or modification required. Even better, the wheels themselves are also JDM and were manufactured during the same era as the L300, making them especially appropriate.

Wheel: Method Race Wheels MR301
Wheel Size: 16x7
Offset: 4 in.
Tire: BFG KO2
Tire Size: 245/75/R16
Running spacers (y/n):  N
Lifted (y/n):  N
Notes: Dobson torsion bars over torqued to get the front up. Front tires still rub when turning hard. I wish I went with a smaller tire. Thinking of switching out for 235/70/R16.

Did you ever find the perfect combination? We are looking for the biggest tire possible without having to do any cutting or fab work

None. It’s absolutely perfect.

As for me, I am convinced that a 15x8 at -1 with a 235/75/15 is as big as you’d want to mess with on a stock Delica with no lift if you also don’t wanna cut or trim anything.

The math changes with larger wheels, different offsets and even different tires as a M/T for example has additional rubber that’s not accounted for in the sizing.

Where did you get the wheels? I can't find them anywhere with the 6x139.7 bolt pattern!

  • Wheel: US Wheel rock crawler.
  • Wheel Size: 15x8
  • Offset: -13
  • Tire: k02’s
  • Tire Size: 31”
  • Running spacers (y/n): nope
  • Lifted (y/n): yes 2” from delica lift kits.
  • Notes: A bit older photos but you get the idea. Slider door rubbed so I put the extended hinge on. Also had to trim in the front to not rub. Still do a tad at full lock and completely compressed.
