Part Number Thread for L300

I can't find the post I was looking for about alternator options. I'd like to have a spare and need a few options with pros and cons. Anayama is about $1000 shipped for OEM. Heard varying things about ebay for $240. Megazip is $1500

Starter for Hyundai D4BF/D4BH/4D56 (3610042450) works... OEM for ~290+sh from SpareKorea, a bit less directly from Mobis (but extremely slow), or in stock in the US or Canada.

Given the options I wouldn't buy third party chinese/ebay or OEM Mitsu.

Looking for an alternator

Looking for a few measurements:

  • Exhaust manifold heat shield bolt size and thread pitch
  • Turbo drain hose ID (mm or in)
  • Turbo feed banjo bolt thread (hoping to fit a braided AN line instead of the stock tube)
  • EGR flange studs thread pitch (on manifold)
  • EGR flange bolt thread pitch (on intake stub)
  • Engine-to-radiator hose ID (mm or in)
Thanks All!

EPC will get you most of the way there... for instance it specifies the drain hose as 15.5x70 (mm), and the banjo bolt as 10x20 (mm). The only thing it doesn't give is thread pitch, but it tends to be the common thread (not always).

See the highlighted Green section, I have had good luck in using the part numbers from EPC and then googling to see if there is another site that has thread pitch details or other matching part numbers from other vendors/sites...

So using (MF650102 "pitch") as my search term, I find... https://www.4gtuner.com/topic/20479-banjo-bolt-specs/ says...
The banjo fitting Eyebolt in the side of the head for the turbo feed = Part number MF650102.
M10 x 20mm long with 1.25mm thread pitch
;)

Just an update, the UJ450 did NOT fit...

The rear U-Joints for my 93 L300 that fit was MOOG 399 (from Advance). It also looked like the FEBEST ASM-91 from Amazon was a perfect fit (and cheaper) but it arrived too late. According to Advance, the MOOG fits the 1990 Mitsubishi Van, so it kinda makes sense.
Anyone use the NAPA / SKF UJ399 for the rear?

Good afternoon - I have tried searching the forum but unable to get my search words to pull up the right info. I need a aftermarket part # for steering tie rod MB501017 hopefully available in the US for quick shipping. I have a reference list and it shows Moog EV455 as an option, but I can't confirm that in all the part# cross referencing sites. Anyone out there who has purchased these lately?

I don't see Moog, but...

Has a few potential alternatives.

And Amayama has a different part number MR455426

MB501017 is up through 1998; MR455426 is post 1998, but a suitable replacement for the earlier part number (both seem to be available).
And both cross to TRW JAR390.

I saw the parts numbers for the front brake pads at the beginning of this thread. That post is quite sometime ago and I was wondering if they were still the same part numbers or if it has been updated? The time has come for me to mess with my front brakes I just wanna make sure I get the right parts. Thanks guys.

On my '93 I replaced my front pads, in the stock calipers, with NAPA SS-7241-X from Napa. Perfect fit.

O'Reilly D349 and equivalent should also work.
