D4BF are definitely swappable into L300s, and there's a fair amount of info on installation, tuning, trouble shooting, engine issues, user experiences, importing an engine, and a shop manual on this forum if you search 'D4BF'.

The Hyundai i30 diesel has a D4FB engine, not a D4BF. It's a totally different engine.
(For the rest of you: In the US the i30 was called the Elantra GT and wasn't available in diesel AFAIK.)
