Engine start problem right after fuel filter replacement.

Yep, I just put the key in for the photo. I've never seen it come on otherwise, nor tested it at the filter (but I'm assuming it's working right). There's only one bulb behind the symbol on the dash , so I think it's just either on or off. Maybe it blinks if there's a problem?

If this is like other electrical systems I've worked on designed in that age it is only a lamp test, not a sensor self test. But those were weapon systems and not cars...
