L400 speedo and O/D stopped working at the same time

Ok, what would that even be called? The clip for securing the speed sensor? I suppose I could probably secure it another way if needed.

Thank you. Are you aware of if just that clip can be acquired, or must that whole unit be replaced?

I would just safety wire it.

Uh... It's part of the wiring harness, and is not listed as a separate part number... But, if you have a strong piece of spring steel wire that can retain it's shape, then as long as it stays in the groove it "should" hold the clip in place.

At this rate, go grab some thread and wrap it in the groove several times and tie it off. Ghetto safety wire!

Would this be cut down and bent, or just send the whole thing through and let the rest stick out? Any easy way to determine size for this?

Perhaps the safety wife/makeshift methods would work. It shouldn't need to be super precise as it does already seem rather snug. Of course though, this changes with mileage and rattling over time.

A friend and I did some research and it seems that several vehicles used this same connector, including the 3000GT. I ended up ordering this, which matches the listed part number. When it arrived, it is slightly different, and although the metal clip is longer overall, it is the proper width. The connector seems secure using this clip. I will update if it fails.

Which plug is that? You have a picture of where the wires went? I can crawl under my van but need to know what you are working with
