D4BF Engine Swap

Hi all, any leads on how to track down the MB581191 engine mount? It looks like it's discontinued, though MB581192 isn't and I got it on amayama.com

I'm going to put this here also in case anyone else is hunting for these:

It looks like MB436832 should be equivalent. I went ahead and ordered it. We'll see...

Great write up and really appreciate the detailed notes and photos! @ccmickelson, @Growlerbearnz I'm going to attempt this same thing with my 4G64 gasser and got a used 1 ton harbor freight engine hoist from Craigslist before coming across this post. In your estimation is it complete folly to try to do this job with the 1 ton's limited reach (vs. the 2 ton)?

I do have a leveler, but guessing there won't be enough vertical space to use that.

The new alternator has a different 2-pin connector so I removed the terminals from each connector block with the idea of simply swapping the connectors. Unfortunately the female spade terminals from the Delica harness were a slightly different style and wouldn’t slide into the connector block for the new alternator harness, so I removed the connectors from the new harness and soldered them onto the old harness and then slid them into the new connector block. Done.

I thought about just cutting the old connector off the harness and splicing on the new harness with a pigtail, but the wire gauge on the new harness was considerably smaller than that of the Delica harness and it's usually not a good idea current-wise to splice on a reduced wire gauge so exchanging the terminals made more sense.

(Working on the electrical conversion/compatibility stuff has given me even more appreciation for Growlerbearnz's having blazed the trail for this project. I'm not sure I would have had the presence of mind to do a comparison for the circuitry on the harnesses.)
Good day! I'm finishing up the new engine install and of course converting the alternator connector. I have a question about the plug wiring. On the new connector, do I have it wired properly? The 12v continuous is the left most wire on the attached photo.

Man, I’m not sure. I crawled under to have a look but that connector goes to the top of the alternator and I didn’t want to unplug it because I wasn’t confident I’d be able to plug it back in and I’m leaving on a trip in the morning. Hopefully someone else will weigh in on this.

Another way to ask is, which is L and which is S? I have it wired as L is 12v continuous and S is sender(?). I expected the 12v to be switched with the key, apparently not.
