L300 Side Ladders.

Been meaning to post this, but loving my @Xplormor Offroad ladder!

Super burly. Fairly easy to install. And just looks great.

Couldn’t recommend enough. Especially now with the new design (kinda jealous).

If you’re on the fence, do it!

Thanks for the feedback we will evaluate powder coating It will need to be be outsourced at this time and carry additional costs if we move to powder coat. Alternately we are evaluating epoxy primers and potentially anti skid tape for high wear areas like the treads. We want it right and will work to make sure this won't come up again.

Look into axalta tufcote 3.5 instead of powder coating. I am using this on coastal off-road rear bumper, nice thing is it can be touched up instead of having to be recoated if blemishes need repair.

What are they currently coated with? Asking so I can try to re-coat more frequently and hopefully avoid getting rust. Thanks

Again, I've been getting complaints from Forum Users that you haven't offered to rectify the defective product and that users have no recourse because you asked them to Pay via PayPal Friends and Family. We will be monitoring this situation closely.

Friends and family Payment was offered to save them a few bucks. Shipping alone is close to $80 to west coast. I suspect it will run an extra $75-$100 to power coat the ladders for future batches.

I'm going to stir this pot....I wouldn't expect too much crew. They talked a bunch of trash on my hitch reinforcement project, then deleted the post (don't worry there are pictures to prove it) after I called them out for not being helpful and acting as one would expect, in the spirit of the community. They came back trying to play nice asking me for measurements of my work, then ended up straight up copying my work to sell. Not quite the class act we would all hope for in such a small community.

I don't know all the parties involved but I don't think there was ill intent to sell a defective item here. I also think it's fair for people to be upset about a rusting $300+ ladder. I am also a maker and many of my first creations wouldn't stack up to my current standards as I've improved my craft along the way. Outside of the paint, the ladder is pretty badass. I personally had an issue with the end of my pipe being bent and not fitting the chassis mount and Xplormor quickly shipped out a lathed piece of metal that I was able to hammer in and correct the issue. He was quick and apologetic for the damage. Again, I'm not trying to discount anyone's experience as perhaps mine was very different from others, I just wanted to share mine and ask for a little grace from all sides so that you can each reach an amicable conclusion. I'd hate for our group mentality to stifle future creations for our bad ass vans.

Amen. Do the math on the: design/raw material/cutting raw material/machining/ jig and weld/finishing for paint/perishables: weld gas/rods/ abrasives paint/utilities/overhead /box and ship for free/recover from trashing the shop in the build/ some sort of profit.
