Part Number Thread for L300

Thank you! I have gaskets, oil return hose and outlet hose being shipped to Apex in Burien, WA, and hope to meet them there for a refit of the exhaust manifold and turbo.

Any idea where I might source these? Coombs Country had none, but told me they were 8x18? Said they should be readily available, but I am still wondering in the wilderness.

I’m still ahving trouble figuring out what to order for stud bolts for my ‘91 Super Exceed exhaust manifold gasket replacement. Coombs Country, on the phone, said that I needed 8x18 bolts, but specified no length and have not responded to my further queries. The guy at Apex thought I needed either 7 or 8, but had no further information. I’m certain the cylinder head is newer, so I’m not sure if it’s the same as the original factory spec or not. Can someone offer suggestions? If I need to wait until the mechanic digs in, I will then need a source either local or one that ships very quickly so that I can get those bolts without delay. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks very much. Coombs Country Autos put on a new cylynder head within the last few years, so I assume the latter size, but I may order both to be on the safe side. I’m fairly motor illiterate though so I’m going to ask what may be a stupid question. Is there a specific length I should be looking for? Any sources that you know of that can ship within the US quickly? I feel like I should be able to find a good supplier in Seattle once I’m up there. Thanks for your time.

(Getting really tired of people hiding part numbers. Just makes me want to look for generic sources instead of buying what I need from someone who knows.)

Anyone know if there are rear drum brake shoes available in the US? Part numbers?

I'd prefer to avoid getting ones all the way from Japan or the Middle East.

Probably available from Napa. You can look up/figure out the part numbers on Megazip or another website listed in this thread. @feetforbrains even made a Google doc with hyperlinks to all the resources you'll need. Otherwise, contact an importer in Canada and they can hook you up. CCA and Rising Sun.

Unfortunately, some parts are going to have to come from Japan and overseas, since it's a JDM vehicle.

Taadahhhh!

Seriously MegaZip.net needs to give me a deep discount. Check it against your VIN (this is for a P35W).

Thanks all. I have the part numbers and know how to order from International Suppliers, or from CCA/Rising Sun. Just wondering if there is a US equivalent that works - looking for the part number (MB500822) on the NAPA site, for example, doesn't return anything. But, if these happened to be the same size as a brake shoe that fit a Montero, for example, or other US marketed vehicle then I imagine that they would be available from a less expensive aftermarket manufacturer.

hey so i was crawling under my van a few minutes ago and noticed the support brace that holds the transmission and the engine, that the rubber has deteriorated. Can anyone give me any details on this?
