STOLEN DELICA PLEASE HELP

Have a kill switch on one of mine. Previous owner installed so I don’t have all the details, but I can get some pictures of the wiring posted if that helps
That would be awesome. Thank you! Please post the results in this recent thread so it's easier to keep track of:

Relayed it on the Expedition Portal Mitsubishi sub forum

I just can’t understand why anyone would steal one..they stand out so much and are worth way more than a pile of chopped parts....I can see Honda’s and Toyota’s , but these vans get noticed....

I feel awful for you dude...this is horrible news..

I agree. Definitely seems like a drug related joy ride. I’ll be keeping a look out here in Montana. There’s a few other owners in town I’ll give a text to. Sorry to hear this. We’ll be thinking good thoughts.

I posted on my facebook account so I can share it with some of the delica groups on facebook - man this really sucks - hope you get it back!I'm on the East coast but I will get it out on the other forums I'm active in -

Been searching all day but no luck. I have a hunch it might have been dumped in the woods of the surrounding area so I’ll be continuing to my search there for a while.

Thanks for all the support and eyes out there ! I have good confidence that if its on the road it will be seen !

I wonder if someone is hiding out and living in it until the weather improves in the NW? I'm recalling all of the 20 and 30'somethings living in the woods this past summer off of exit 47, Tinkham Road, south side of I-90 in Washington, seemingly without jobs and homes, as opposed to living out there for fun (though some of them looked to be having a bit too much fun, barely walking a straight line). I couldn't imagine someone living out there now with 5 feet of snow around them, and having to make frequent trips out of there for food and fuel. 4wd would be mandatory. Easier to steal a Deli than find a 4wd Sprinter to swipe, maybe? I hope yours isn't found ditched in the woods after the spring thaw!

I'm the admin on MDOC on Facebook and it's been posted there as well as my page, Crankshaft Culture. It's also been shared to a host of other groups on Facebook. You've got a lot of eyes out. Wishing you nothing but the best of luck finding your van.
Hey man I can’t thank you enough your initial posts spread across the van and 4x4 pages quickly it really helped a lot.

It has been really cool to see the community in action. Hopefully some good will come of it !

Thing is that I think was fairly cold in Bend when the car was stolen. So unless the person knows about the glow functionality, wait for click-click, there is no way the car would start. Unless the engine was warm enough.

could it have been trucked out? This happens to a lot of unique cars here which then end up in the middle east.

There was snow on the ground where it happened and there wasn't any evidence of it being dragged / towed onto a flat bed. It also had a new D4BF , which certainly doesn't like cold starts but is a bit more willing and able than the old 4D56. I have a manual glow plug switch on the dash so it is possible they figured that you.

those who do this are normally professionals. they carry either jammers or tracers (to detect gps signal) and will cut it. (something like the below)

I'm actually designing something which hopefully can be more effective at avoiding this type of scanner (and the more expensive ones).

So sorry to hear this. It's about the most conspicuous vehicle that you could steal, so at least that is in your favor. I'm sure you thought of this, but are there any devices among your personal belongings in there that can be traced - laptop, ipad, etc? I'm out east, but will keep an eye out online. A friend in Chicago recently had her jeep stolen and the cops located it because the teen girls that stole it were posting videos of themselves joyriding and singing online. Good luck!

Currently waiting for my laptop to be turned on so I can track it...

Thank you though for the extra set of eyes !
